dyno readings on predator class engine

Has any one put the southeastern rule class predator engines on the dyno for a basic reading. Hemi and non hemi versions ???? Thanks

no most of them are "box stock" from Harbor Freight with the governor and low oil sensor removed and the exhaust box removed and the wiener pipe open and wrapped, then running a gear rule on ELs @ #330 and 360, Carl Williams started this @ Dexter (LCS) and sealed and sold them himself for $175 called "Black Sealed" #XXX, I'm guessing they make about 10 hp @ 5400 to 5600 rpms it was supposed to be an economy entry class, since he's shut down JL's Super Speedway in Lizella, Ga. is trying to keep it going with an track rental motor class, they have 10 motors and you just bring you kart and turn them back in after the nights racing, I think it's $35 to run the class, they'll run with a weak clone on 80% used up pink and blue maxxis if you get the ELs prepped up to their best potential.

Depends on where youre at. This area are the SPG rules, and they make quite a bit more on dyno than stock, and there is also the Charger. They dyno quite often in this area since you can do a little.

SPG rules predators dyno very close to what a big pipe AKRA clone does. Usually within a .5hp but the power band is much lower with peak around 4800 rpm. The SPG rules are comprehensive and tailored to each version of the engine so that neither one has an advantage. The gear rule restricting the engines to approximately 5200 rpm on the track is critical to maintaining this parity.

The Charger class engines are about 2.5hp less than the SPG and they only allow 69730 engines. The Charger class has a clutch gear rule but leaves the rear gear open.

The Charger and SPG engines run similar lap times due to the Chargers more open gear rule, but the SPG do have a slight advantage. Without the gear rule the SPG engines would absolutely dominate the Charger engines.
