hi guys we are done racing for the season. we are moving up to gold .575 restrictor next year from a .425 resrtictor. will i need a new carb and just refreshen the engine or what will i have to swap we were going to go to blue next year but blue isnt much faster then purple.

Totally different build from purple to gold. Cam, valve timing, ignition timing, port size and shape, valve springs, carb, pipe, etc, etc.
With that said, it's easier to build UP a class then to build DOWN a class. Not to say that you don't already have some of these parts or machinework in your current engine that would work. Either way, it CAN be done.
