Flat head in winter

If your tec allows 10% gas would help as an igniter for the alky when real cold, if not a hot plug and tape off the blower cover completely to help build some engine heat. Start it early and try to warm it up before you go out to freeze your butt off. Jon

Get an old squirt oil bottle, fill with gas. Prior to starting the engine, squirt a shot of gas through the air filter. Once the engine has started, it will build enough temp in the combustion chamber to burn alcohol. Alcohol has a flash point of 51* -- Once you've got the engine running though, it will not be a problem.
It also helps to warm the engine in the pit area (torpedo heater, etc.) to get the cylinder and oil warm. Use common sense though and be careful.

Yea, what a racer does to get his "fix" up here in winter. :)

Now if we can get hand warmers built into the steering wheels like the sleds have!

spray gasoline in the horn it will start right up! then just let it warm up before you leave the grid and onto the track.

Brian they sell 10packs of hand warmers at Walmart for $6 lol. Don't laugh the kids used em at the Hog Barn a few times.....
