Fuel tank leak

Having problem getting carb to tank sealed. Leaking fuel and sucking in dirt. Replaced gasket still same problem. Should I use any type of gasket sealer? 2 gaskets or just buy a new tank?

base of carb maybe bad. pull both pickups and surface on emery cloth.
tank also could have hair line crack.
no sealer
2 gaskets makes problem 1 worse.

Does it leak when you blow into gas cap? If so it maybe where the oem air filter bolt used to go into the carb to hold the air filter on. Needs to a little bit of silicone put into the hole and let setup.

I looked but didn't see any cracks and put 2 gaskets before I saw your post. I have a new Eric vause carb coming next week. Going to get a new tank to go with it and try to fix this when I have time.
Thanks Creighton

Thanks. I'll try that and see what happens.

Had same problem til tony power told me what it was. I thought it was also my gaskets but it was not. He fixed mine and works great now!
