Generally speaking, how many teeth on the axle gear would need to be removed when changing from heavy class (375 LBs) to medium class (350 LBs). For a 1/5 mile or 1/4 mile wide open no-lift track.

1 sometimes 2 but that's more depended on track condition how much bite there is, Most likely not from heavy to med but X -heavy to Med would be one size bigger front driver.

On a 1/5 mile track (by your location possibly the same track you race at), at 425# I'm generally 2 teeth higher than the 375# class. At 425# I obviously don't have any experience with the medium class , but with only a 25 lb drop, I would think 1 tooth would be enough to take off going from Heavy to Medium.
