*Grooved Tire Racing...Thoughts?*

If the track and kart are prepped for that, thats fine.
But in low horsepower stock classes "slingin dirt" is scrubbing speed

im sure this thread is way dead by now but the open/rwyb its like driving a late model which is why i love the class

I think it would be good tracks now a days are mainly prepped to run the slick tires and most tracks don't allow grooved tires cause it'll cause ruts to form up, for the stock classes I wouldn't see prepping tires being any more of an advantage I'd see it as more of a disadvantage cause I think it would lock the kart down, if you look at it from that perspective you could buy 2 3 sets of tires an that would last all season and possibly all of next season
