just picked up a few heads and trying to get some input on them. so far we run jt109s but what do yall think of these heads? jt 103,jt107,tg1. we run unrestrected and green plate. Thanks Tim

TG1 was supposed to be one of the best castings, but there are good and bad variations of that casting just like there are any other. The JT 109 was considered one of the better ones also, dont know much about the other 2 mentioned. i believe the JT 109 could be a good head for plate engines. Wait for better imput from other builders who deal with these heads more often.

Thanks weddle. I know the tg1 is missing some material from casting around the sealing surface. the 103 107 i have no clue never seen them before till now.

I do not know about the 103 or 107...
From flowing the heads only that the TG1 I have flows great!
The jt123 is a good flowing head too...the 3 jt109 I have flow pretty crappy compared to the TG1,or the 123.
The jt97 head I have also flows pretty bad...
This is just the results I got from flowing them not dynoing them.
A stock gx200 head flows a smidgen better than a jt109.
And the few gx160 14cc heads stock flow the same as the jt109.
Slightly touched up Honda 14cc heads outflows the TG1 head.
Slightly touched up gx200 head flows awesome at low lift .150-.250, then flows the same as the 14cc at .250-.350 lift.

Can you elaborate on which area's of the 14cc head need to be touched up to get it to flow as good as your results showed? You can PM me this info if you wish to keep it private
