does anyone make a thin head gasket for a flathead that is not copper or alum. I have never had good luck with them sealing up good

use permatex ultra grey sealer on those copper gaskets and you'll end your issues.

one of the tricks to copper gaskets is that they harden with use so you ned to anneal them...simply heat them with a propane torch then drop them in water and they will soften up and be like new.

Most definitely can reuse , can't really wear them out. May have to anneal them like Jimmy mentioned over time. We used high temp red silicone on the gasket and didn't fire the engine for 24 hours after torqueing the head on with good results. Jon
