Ok just build hemi, was breaking it in... Came back to start again, after engine cooled, ......won't start, backfires when pull cord is pulled with choak on, timing marks line up timing seems good,
It looks as if exhaust valve is opening just slightly when piston is coming up on compression stroke... Any thoughts........
 
Easy start will open then close valve.
First thought is flywheel slipped
Second is valves to tight.
