does anyone ever host a racing at there backyard tracks

we have a backyard asphalt track
my buddy and i thought it would be cool to host a backyard race with notarized papers for accidents and what not

wanted to see if anyone around has doing something like this before

While I don't think it is right, even notarized papers/releases don't always stand up in court these days given the number of ambulance chasers out there and their willingness to stretch both the law and common sense like rubber bands. Do it with proper insurance or don't risk it.

i see your point thats what we were worried about the most is the insurances

just thought it would be cool to have a back yard race that would generate a good group of karts

camaroz28......We can't tell you what to do or not to do, only a friendly advice Insurance is to cover you or who ever owns the track in the case of an accident..............
you could have family and friends running around out there........hoping noting happens and no one sues..........................

Insurance doesnt matter, waviers dont matter. they are both useless
If want to race the land where the track is setting needs deeded to a LLC, and even with that its not 100%, someone get hurt and wants to sue they will
