Low duration cams

Are they legal in the spg rules? Are the spg making any changes to their rules this year? If we can run them is there a benifit to them over the cams currently using?

I'd think that you would actually lose a little power in the rpm range we are running. I'm also interested to see if there are any changes in the rules? I've got 2 engines that need going through sitting on the shelf ready to be freshened.

There will be no changes to the SPG rules for 2016. The low duration cams are not illegal but at the rpm's the class runs at they make no difference. In fact they hurt low rpm torque and would slow you down on the start as well as losing some peak power which they move to an rpm above where the class runs.
