yep thats excatly right . funny how a simple design change like that is often times the big "eureeeeka" you hear when " when the R&D team finally something spot on correct the fist time without having to destroy the only prototype . I was looking at some pics today from a vintage advertising collector site and ran across a pic and tried to screen cap it but i dont know how on this laptop , its new and im old , so im gonna blame it on whoever produced it , but Margay was real big into the enduro scene back in the 70s and i swear i came across a pic of a very early 70s offset sprinter that was photographed without the nose and side pods on it and it was identical to the pic of the kart u have acquired . i mean down to the rain tires at all 4 corners , the only difference was the positioning and posture of the seat . It had a short headrest and shoulder pad and a long stretched out padded floor with thick high side side bolsters . I immediately thought of u and started digging to find out more on the photo and all i did find was it was from a Denver , Colorado Gazette in the early 70s . I know several karters who like me are rather tall thin . im 6ft 3 in and every kart ive ever owned or ridden has always felt like i was resting my chin on my knee with the exception of some sprinters and a guy told me at a show in FLA that he had a kart in his trailer he wanted me to look at and see if i had any idea what it was . when i saw it i knew right off that it was a Mar-Kart but not just any one , it was a Mar-Kart enduro chassis but it looked almost comical because someone had cut , slugged and welded the frame back together so cleanly and so good that it was hard for me to find the welds and ive neen a welder for 25 years or longer . Someone who knew there stuff had clipped and sectioned this chassis and stretched it out almost a foot and changed the seating position from a Mar-Kart Enduro to what looked like a recentered stretched Margay Expert 3 centered . i know its the angle of your pic but it just looks long and narrow . Please keep me posted on the project . i got 1000s of peoples business i prorbaably need to be in but if they aint selling , buying , restoring , fixing , or riding and old Margay or Rupp , they might as well be worshipping the devil coz i just aint in to it ! HAHAHAHAHAHA !
