Jones used to sell a plate stretcher to maje max flow platesthe flathead . they had them . supposedly flowed for best cfm .
Then the cheated ones were either Repowder coated or done in a manner so as to be unnoticable too the naked eye .
also micro laser punctured .
In manufactuing theres plus or minus in toletances a max flow plate will be right at legal limit a regular plate might be a couple thousands smaller. Is this for real? Like I need an explanation

The ARC plates are almost always very undersized. The SpeedKarts plates are much closer to MAX spec out of the box.https://palmettospeedshop.com/Engine-and-Related-Acc-Box-Stock-Project/?subcategory=RESTRICTOR+PLATES
Use at your own risk, I’ve seen them fail before.
Eric, I'd love to hear your reasoning behind this! I've always looked for the largest LEGAL plate I could find by measuring dozens.Waste of $$ in my opinion, I never stretched a plate. Just the opposite of other builders, I always measured to make sure they were a couple .000 under.
Ready for debate on reason behind my thoughts.
My reasoning for staying a few thousands under is to keep myself out of trouble.Waste of $$ in my opinion, I never stretched a plate. Just the opposite of other builders, I always measured to make sure they were a couple .000 under.
