Mayko Shark versus Margay

Mayko Shark (1973) versus Margay. Very similar, in fact almost identical, front end designs.

The first time I went to the track, I found the errors of my ways, front steering mount this wrong, it was discarded the next day for a much better design.

How many karts did Margay build, with that design, before the discovered the error of their ways?

Hey...they mounted the seat wrong ... it’s supposed to be laidback and off to the left!

First kart I owned was a Margay....back in 1987. It was a very good kart. Bought it from a friend who thought it was a piece of junk. But I had many good races in it.

Can't argue with success. Margay gave me a kart in 1973, just for evaluation. It surprised me how superior my Shark's kart was to the margay. I salute the people that drove one and won trophies, it definitely was not to my liking. They told me to keep it, but I sold it and sent them the money.
