Motor trouble

Okay so I have a 5hp on alcohol
Few mods
.20 over
Dyno cams (95.3)
Billet lifters
Welded tappet's

I lost compression after changing oil
And the motor getting up to 400 degrees
Took the head apart and wow
Cylinder wall is shot

My questions are
Can I bore an additional .30 over
For a total or .50 and still run the motor
To it's fullest extent with no issues?

If so what do you guys recommend for
Cam
Lifters
Valve springs
To run around 8-9k RPMS?

thanks!

Yes you can bore it again but first you need to find out why the cylinder was scored that bad. I suspect you have a cool bore (aluminum) cylinder and did not use a chrome piston.
What are you running for a carb?
Here is what I would do:
4.475 billet rod and correct chrome plated piston.
Dyno 112alt cam.
Extended lifters.
Dual valve springs with correct retainer and keepers.
.750 bore stock appearing carb, start with a .055 jet.

Not an answer to your question, sorry, but that Piston looks strange. Could it be that you were running it really lean? What was the jetting? This will not help you now, but it might on the next build.

Not sure which jet is in the carb
I will take a look shortly and see which jet size is in

Alvin the jet number was .56
of course I don't really know exactly what the jet size should be, but from what I've read here, a 56 jet sounds about right. What size is your low-speed jet?

Unless your running a jr. class with a like a blue restrictor plate that .056 jet is way to big for a engine with a 95-3 cam .
