Myer Creek Raceway in Calhoun, KY is racing this Friday July 10th, 2015
RACING EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT!
If there is a chance of rain on Fridays Red will try and let me know by noon that way I can post it on here.
Gates Open at 4:30
Hot Laps at 6:30
Racing at 7:00
All times are Central.
Classes and Rules were taken straight from the rule book. I have outlined a few of the rules below. If you would like a copy please contact Myer Creek Raceway on facebook or at the number listed below.
AKRA Engine Rules
Burris Racing Slicks only, any compound
Jr. 1 Green Plate (ages 5-8 yrs) 250lbs
Jr. 2 Purple Plate (ages 9-11 yrs) 275 lbs
Jr. 3 Blue Plate (ages 12-15 yrs) 300lbs
Clone Lite-325lbs
Clone Medium-350lbs
Clone Heavy 375lbs
Clone Super Heavy 400lbs with a 200lb driver min.
Box Stock-365lbs
Open Class-no weight
-Safety; All drivers are required to wear proper racing gear. Helmet, gloves, neck brace, boots or shoes, long sleeve shirt or jacket, No Hoodies.
-If a driver loses any safety gear he/she will be disqualified (kart bodies not included)
-There will be no tire prepping on the starting grid and also no torches on the starting grid also. This will be enforced.
-A driver can only run 3 different classes in one single night
-There will be a 20 min time limit on heats and features
-Intermission between heats and features will be 30 mins.
-All parents need to sign a release form for their children to race. This will be mandatory.
-If you cause 3 cautions in any race, you will be black flagged off the track until your next race.
-During an event of a caution flag, the driver who caused the caution will go to the back and "if" it can't be determined who caused the caution all envolved will go to the back unless you are avoiding the crash. Will restart using previous lap line up.
-If a driver is to intentionally cause a wreck on the G/W/C, You will be black flagged at the officals discretion.
-We will run any class. Must have a minimum of 2 karts in every class to be eligible to run on a regular night and run in the points series.
-If any weights come off a kart during a race that kart will be disqualified.
-All karts should be shut off before entering scale house.
-Deliberate spin or stopping on track to "bait" caution will result in disqualification.
-If a driver is DQ they will not receive any payout.

The address above will take you exactly to the road you need to turn onto. You will take a right into the park off of State Route 136. The road dead ends so you cant get lost. There is a sign for the park on right. Track is probably 1/8 mile off hwy 136

13 would be a good starting point for Clone Classes. Maybe a 12 even. Track is flat. Tight turns with longs straightaways. Lots of run off in turns.
