New snell rating?

When will the new snell rating be issued? The current date is 2010..the previous was 2005? By that logic they renew every 5 years..My son is wanting a new helmet, but Id like to get one with the newer rating if theyre about to come out

Simpson,bell and impact will start using it in Oct. per web site

I spoke directly to a Racequip rep and he said most 2015 would come out in Oct. 2010's will still be good for 3 to 5 years.
