I would start with Mike Mccartys book. https://4cycle.com/karting/threads/mccarthys-book.85049/. There are some videos available here: https://shopphantomchassis.com/videos-dvds/ to me they really are not worth the high price. Get the book and read it over and over again and read posts here on Bobs every day. Much like everything else in life learning never stops. Have you bought a kart yet? Post some details. By the way if you have not bought something yet look for something that has a fully adjustable front end at a minimum. Generally, anything that is listed as a "good starter kart" is junk and not worth your time and money. Also post where you live and what track you intend to run, there are lots people out there that are willing to help new racers.
I bought these three books and buried my face in them all winter. Great help!!I am almost absolutely clueless to what is all involved in kart racing. Can someone please link me to some videos or a website that will teach me everything I need to know about dirt karts. Thanks
if engine is nka or akra spec, was it built for restricted or unrestricted, is up to date with the current rules.I have already bought a cart to build, but I guess my first question would be how do I identify my frame and engine? I know my engine is a clone made by Renegade Racing Motors, but is there more I should know about it?
I have no clue, how do I figure that out?if engine is nka or akra spec, was it built for restricted or unrestricted, is up to date with the current rules.
