Newbie... wheel/tire size question

Many sprint karts use a 5 1/2" wheel on front. However some 4 cycle karts are using 6" wheel width and some even 6 1/2". It depends on the grip and side wall flex you are trying to achieve. We ran 5 1/2 for a long time and started to test other widths and a found 6" width to work better for our chassis.
 
It can be. Depends on the application. I use a 6x5 or even a 6.5x5 sometimes when I need less grip. What/where is this wheel/tire combo going?
