I am sitting here wondering; .038" to a .036" is over a10.2% leaner in mixture!? How could that possibly bring the temp down?
The more power it makes, the hotter it gets.I am sitting here wondering; .038" to a .036" is over a10.2% leaner in mixture!? How could that possibly bring the temp down?
Only three things make heat in your engine.450 degrees before pulling off in ~ 8 laps. My other engines stay around 400
I've always heard that the other way around; the more heat you make, the more power you make. The more power it makes, the hotter it gets.
22.6 powerWhen does melt down begin
You are correct, the more heat you generate from burning fuel, the more power you make, and the hotter it gets.I've always heard that the other way around; the more heat you make, the more power you make.
475 is pushing it. Head(EX seat)and cylinder will start to distort and hurt power in this area of temp. Top ring land will give problems when running for extended time over 450. Make sure if using upgraded head bolts they have enough room to stretch by measuring without head and gasket on. Have seen many of them bottom out before stretching properly to aid in keeping head from distorting at higher temps. Thanks for the feedback. What, in your opinion, would be max temp? 475?
