Noram clutch springs

How do I replace/change springs in a Noram GE clutch? Changing from red to white. I didn't want to just start pulling and would rather do it myself than sending it out. Thanks

Needle nose vise grips.... They can be a pain at times but it's been years since we have used the noram... They used to have a spring pulling tool back in the day but not sure if it is still sold or not but like I said we just used the needle nose vise grips. Just be careful as the spring can get ahold of ya real quick if ya slip off!! Hope this helps some.

Crooked needle nose pliers work best for me. Had the "tool" for changing springs -- it was somewhat akin to a crochet hook = totally worthless.
Place the spring on the table with the open end up -- place one end of the shoe over the open end of the spring and push down. Repeat procedure for other spring and shoe.
Put the shoes on the hub and use needle nose pliers to hook the other end of the springs one at a time.
Probably the easiest drum clutch to work on.
