Okay so I took my motor apart. And noticed a few things that's struck me weird

-hard putty like **** on the outside of the
Intake valve

-found a whole under the intake port

-inside the motor by the cam the exhaust valve is welded and grinded smooth

Just wondering if anyone seen **** like this before
Motor was built by tod Miller racing

The putty was probly fixing a crack/leak
The welded portion is to strengthen the valve guide but I have never seen it done that way
The hole under intake not sure what ur talking about
Did u buy motor from him or a second party owner

I looked inside the valve spring pocket and there is no visual cracks
I figured it was to strength it, but why wouldn't they weld the intake valve guide right away too?
Was running .20 over and the dyno cams 95-3

But motor was bought from a second party who hasn't rebuilt it in over 5 years
The cylinder wall was scored bad
Motor is probably going .50 over
Unless I just part ways with the briggs and go with a clone

yep
pic 1 some one either cut spring pocket too deep or drove valve guide in and cracked it.
pic 2 if your talking about the spots with casting flash that's normal .otherwise I don't see any hole. unless your talking between 2 bottom fins. again looks normal.
pic 3 looks normal also looks like its welded down by the cam boss.
