Private track lighting

Looking to add lights to my private 1/10 mile track. Anyone found something that works using less than 3000 watts? I'm looking at 70 watt high pressure sodiums which seem to give more lumens for for the buck than LED which seem to be a little too costly.

Like to know what others are doing.

Go to the Dollar Tree and buy a hundred Solar lights and out line your race track both inside and out.. Think about it.. It might be a blast to race that way.. Might add 2 to front and rear of kart as well.. That would be a Kodak moment foresure.. Or better yet a YouTube Viral Explosion..

Just posted in humor guys:)

Tiki torches:) Just kidding.
Oval track, right? If you can, I'd sink a pole at each end in the center(make sure to surround with tires), and put about 6 of the outdoor CFL's on each one like these:

In fixtures like these:

That would only be about 300 watts, 450 if you find it necessary to add a 3rd pole in the middle. Get them up high so they don't shine in your faces or make tons of shadows.
