if i have a modified cam (like a .308) with stock rocker arms, do ineed to check the pushrod lenght? or the stock pushrod can get all the hp the cam can make? Thanks.

Typically no .
You do need to visualize it in position , to be certain the rockers fairly parallel with the head and not
Touching the valve retainer .
If the head has been milled there may be an issue.

depends on how much your head and block are skimmed, but I run pushrods very short around 128-129mm..........top tip is to run the alloy GX160 T2 pushrods which are 30% lighter then anything cro-moly or GX200, so you can run a lighter spring pressure with less risk of surge, then also run the followers from a GX160, as they are 4mm shorter than the gx200 items, so saves all the nonsense of having to buy shorter pushrods.

I run a 308 cam with 37lb springs and GX160 followers in my 20hp gx200, with the alloy GX160-T2 pushrods and it had no problems at 8500rpm
