right side brake

i'm new to oval karting. i have been curious what the purpose of a right side brake is. i have seen only a couple of models that are that way. again, just curious.
 
Probably under the right conditions the axle could twist a little with the brake on the left side. This should help eliminate that from happening.
 
my opinion is helps plant rf when braking with brake on right so if your just draging brake little maybe keep from pushing up
 
It changes the weight distribution on the kart when the brakes are being dragged. We felt it helped the kart during the corner when running higher HP engines which require a fair bit of trail braking (big pipe clones, animals, etc.).
