#10 sheet metal screws with 5/16" head (I believe.) Personally, we used to remove all the kill switches from them when they came that way from the factory.
Well, sorta.
Pulling the plug wire and leaving nowhere for the voltage to discharge to (ground) is very hard on the coil. I put a wire tie on it simply for emergency situations (track/corner worker needs to shut the engine off quickly in the event of a crash.) Like many, I've pulled the plug wire on the coil for years myself -- habit without reprecussion doesn't make it right though.
I put kill switches on our own engines so that the boys can shut the engine off on their own if needed. I use a 30A steel toggle switch though, not the el-cheapo oem switch.
