In his first race of the season, heat winner Jim Ackerman would lead our field to the green. Racing down the backstretch Jim would allow just a little too much room going into three and Tom Arntz would pounce on the opportunity. He would quickly inherit the lead bringing with him Ted Harris from fifth. Outside row starters Matt Ackerman, Fred Delibero , and Ron Farber would feverishly fight to hold their ground.

The race would settle in as Tom would mount a strong run with the field trying to gain ground.

The leader would then encounter lapped traffic. As he picked his way through, it would then be Ted Harris taking his turn to pass the back marker.

Ted's luck would run out as Ron Counterman lost the handle on the 76 and looped it in front of Harris. Harris would grab some brake and slide to a stop avoiding contact with the 76.

Matt Gyurkovics came into three at full song and "T- Boned" Harris in a bone rattling crash believed to have been heard in Scranton .

Matt retired to the infield with front end damage. Harris, already suffering damage from "The big one" a nine car crash in the heat, was able to re-fire and hobble back to his previous position for avoiding contact with the spinning lapped car.

The green flag would be thrown and Tom Arntz would resume his smooth run to victory for the final three laps.

Harris would manage to spur his bucking mount to second followed by 3 Jim Ackerman 4 Matt Ackerman 5 Fred Delibero 6 Ron Farber 7 Larry Ealey 8 Ron Counterman 9 Matt Gyurkovics DNF 10 James Counterman DNS

Pit notes:

Congrats Tom Arntz on another strong run and two in a row!

Welcome back Jim Ackerman!

Another strong run with consistency and smoothness for Matt Ackerman

A rumor surfaced at the after race decompression session ,that Ted
Harris would be removing the number 2 from his car and replacing
it with bulls eye decals.
