I changed the spindles to new ones, ordered new washer set and kingpin. On the old one I had no play up or down. Now on the new spindle I put on there is a lot of play. Question is do I fill it up with more washers or not?
Yes just add extra washers to it. You do not need play in anything on the front end. I would recommend setting it on a set of scales when you get it back together as well
