Star value?

A man I know Is selling two Tecumseh stars and what looks to be a limited mod. Briggs. One star is brand new never fired. The other two engines are complete and clean looking. These were part of a couple cage karts he bought and never used therefor he knows nothing about them at all. Any ideas on a fair value of these?

Not sure now that they aren't being produced anymore, but I remember the Star engine kit was right at 600.00 new in the box. Then you had to install guides, put it together, and set up the lash. Jon
 
I believe Mike Clements still sells or makes parts for the star engines. I would guess the stock ones $200-300 if its still like new and never ran, and the limited mod would be around $400-450, thats just my guess
