Switching from flathead to clones this year, flatheads are all Ive ever messed with, but trying to find a starting point for gear, I will be running Lawrencburg, IN mostly.
 
Use 2 teeth bigger on the front driver gear as a starting point for clones if you usually ran flathead on the same tracks....that is a good starting point

For someone who runs that track, that question might be easy, and I'm sure it is, but for the rest of us, maybe if you mentioned what gear ratio you're running now, and what rpm you're seeing at the end of the straight, others might be able to give you some additional advice. Not saying that W5R is not right.
