If you keep it rich you will be safe. If you keep it cool you will be safe. If you want to go fast, it's going to take a little more thought.
if you are a novice to this kind of racing, this would be good advice. You're not going to learn anything sitting in the pits fixing a stuck engine. Not about temperature control anyway.
