What is the idea race temp for a stock 212 with a .031 jet, stock air box and weinie pipe? I know the Micron does head temp so what it too hot? Thanks.

500 is too hot.
425 would be reasonable.

Most likely by your location, you will have more concern getting it hot enough rather than too hot

Saw this from a different thread....
" I have had this happen to me and have seen it a time or two. The temperature gets too high on these predators the motor falls off. We try to stay under 400 for sure but under 380 is ideal."
