Tire Cutting and Grinding

After cutting tires, what grit flap disc and or sand paper should you use? Are there multiple steps of grinding after cutting the tire?

I hit ours with 100 then 120 and finish it with 220

I go with 80 then 120, just like the finish 120 leaves

...everybody has their own method. I do 120, 220 then 320 for a super slick finish. Sometimes I don't use the 320.

...and I forgot to mention that I use 50/50 mix of simple green and methanol to keep the tire wet and cool during sanding. I have also used 50/50 mix of Windex and methanol.

I use a 50/50 mix of methanol and tire tac blue wash. Works well.
