toe question

toe is measured with driver in kart...just curious the difference if u measure when driver gets out...does it tend to toe in or out?...have one of the original PRC accutoe with toe plates and you cant measure with driver in...wheels hafta be off and kart up on stand...i can see why they went to the laser design..thnx

I've noticed about 1/16 or less difference with the driver in the seat, can't remember if it was in or out though.

Mine toes out a heavy 1/16 with the driver in it. When I'm setting it on the stand I'll set it that much less than I want it to be on the track.

If you set it up on a stand, square the car with zero toe, and it'll be "close" with the driver (120-150#) in it on the ground/scales. I generally set the LF toed out 3/32" on our cars. Done it this way for years on new chassis assemblies that were shipped out of our shop.

You can sit it on the ground, just put blocks under the spindles. has to be a flat level surface though.
