Twin engine clone class

Was thinking about trying to start one at our track but want to keep the cost down.
so don't want to do a mod or sa deal maybe keep it to akra BP type deal.
but also allow wedge bodys.not sure how it would go over?
was even thinking maybe go 390 and not use two engines but two would
still be cheaper then a 390 or 420.we had a good turn out a few years a go
for the clone but last year we only had one,so how to get it back or change
it up ?

You ain't 'lived' until you've been-on or, done a 'Dually'! Then...there's the 'Three-Wide'....! Do it John....even 'stockers' wud be FUN.

It would be a cool idea, and if you wanted to keep the cost down, make it a stock class where you can use either 2 212 predators or 2 196 clones. If your looking for ideas about how to set a chassis up for 2 engines, there is a site based in UK where they have sort of a sprint chassis with twin gx160 or gx200 honda engines on them, you could browse that site and get some ideas for how to put a chassis together with twin engines, one on each side of the rear. Id be afraid the kart would ride a wheelie on takeoff if it had twin gx390's on the back! Lol

The twin engine chassis has been common in England for ever. They are surprised that we only use one engine, there are several chassis builders that make a frame for dual engines.

This is Not an overly difficult task, so long as you have a 'user-friendly' chassis for modification, some tubing and a welder.

There's an advantage too a 'Dually' in that if you have a 'lite' Driver, you can effectively run (3) classes in the same kart on the same day....:)
