Are black springs in the second hole correct for a flathead? Or should they be in hole 3?

Just double checking before I run a new clutch. Never had a vortex before.

Is it an unrestricted flathead? If so , I run mine in the third hole, if it is a restricted engine the second hole is where I run them. Hope this helps

Are these clutches much "taller" than a bully clutch because of how the springs mount to the levers ? May have a clearance problem with the clutch guards we need to run ?

We run the center hole with a sr clone...Just modify the clutch guard or take it off. You could drill new holes in the chainguard and move it out closer towards the seat.

The Vortex clutches like all other two disc clutches fit in a space 4 inches inches in diameter, three inches long. Three disc clutches are 1/4 inch longer; two disc clutches are 1/4 inch shorter.

Vortex clutches can be mounted outboard (springs in) or inboard (springs out).
