I don't like the idea of having my pc always connected via wireless to the router and the world.
If I want to use my pc I don't like having to wait for a start up to complete yet I want security, so I use to just hibernate it, because it starts quicker.
Now I leave my pc on all the time ready to go except, ... I turn the radio off in the pc and leave up the window where it lets me turn the radio off and on. When I want to use it, all I have to do is click the radio back on and I'm off and running much quicker.
ps... if your hard wired to a network, you can do the same thing by clicking to disable the network connection. And if you leave the page up, you just enable it when you want back on.
