Cheetah clutch, with the two thrush washers and the bearing in place the snap ring that holds the basket on, needs to be forced in place to hold it all together. i measured the thrush washer thickness (.025) and compared it to the gap between the snap ring and the face it rides on.. (.020) without one thrush washer Is it ok to run the one thrush and bearing be enough??

You can get thrust washers that are thinner, which will give you more endplay when you put the final snap ring that holds the basket on. That is what I would do in your case, you need at least .010 endplay with the snap ring in place, to keep the basket from being bound up, but no more than .030 end play. So look around online or talk to a clutch builder and get yourself some thrust washers that are thinner than the ones you have now so you can adjust it. Thrust washers that are made for just about any disc clutch can be made to work, especially Horstman and Bully washers
