What's a good oil and a good way to break in a Ducar? Just bought a new one.

Just run it with a lightweight clone oil and change it after it gets hot.

fill with 14 oz of any conventional 5w20 5w30 motor oil. run it around 3500 rpm for 15 min Stop, drain oil while hot. replace oil run for an additional 15 min drain oil while hot. set valve lash. go race. do not waste money on synthetic. standard Chevrolet racing motor break in. works every time.

run a good synthetic oil to race on. preferably one with a good zinc (ZDP) content.

Hiw much valve lash should I set it to. I have my predator set so I can just spin the push rod a little. I am wondering if that is to tight. Any thoughts on this?

I always set mine to .003. I don't have a dyno so I cant tell you
