I know 7 years ago my husband suffered injuries while racing. He was out of work for 5 months and had to go through physical theorpy besides the orthopedic specialist. The track used WKA insurance . Our personal medical insurance paid the % of bill on the policy after the deductable was met. After it paid the bills it was supposed to, the WKA insurance kicked in and paid all the remaining bills. You have to get all of your eob {explanation of benefits} together and send a copy to them and they will pay the balance. Once all the paper work is in order there is no problem . About 4 years later I fell at the track and shattered my elbow having to have surgery that night and also go through physical theory and 6 months later had to have more surgery to have plate and pins removed. Again the WKA track insurance paid all of the bills 100% after our medical insurance paid their part. I would highly recommend WKA insurance for any track because I know personally it does pay . The $5 dollar or so insurance fee that many complain about well exceeds its cost if you ever have to use it.
