I am looking for top of the line tire specialist an I am willing to pay the top of the line money. I have been out of racing for awhile and I will have top of the line equipment. I am looking to start after July 4th and until it gets too cold. Then start back around Daytona at Christmas. I am talking about a tire guy that knows his stuff not someone who thinks they do. Thanks

Sorry I forgot a few things. I am about 30 mins from the old track called fastrax. I will be doing alot of local racing as in Danny's at the beach, neese, and maybe paradise, lake city but not really sure yet about the tracks

Earl Mewhorter Jr at Southern Comfort Tire Treatments, Jamie Knopf with Pink Magic Tire Treatments, Donnie Nall at Insanity Speed Elixir, Jerry Mullis at Superior Tire Management. I'm sure I missed a few too. Take your pick. Probably the top tire guys in the country. They will give you a chance to win anytime you hit the track.

SC will be tough to beat in that area. Jamie always has fast stuff, as does Mullis, but their racing may prevent them from helping you much at the track. Matt Connell and Andy Murray are two more that are highly decorated tire gurus.

Im actually in the Upstate area, but know Neeses and Paradise well, havent been to Dannys and Lake City but have customers there.
If theres anything i can help with, you may message or call me at 386-748-1061.

What determines what "you" think someone is worth for a tire guy. Also, you missed his entire point.

Anyone paying for a tire specialist will be paying a lot, especially a big name tire specialist... If you are paying that for local events, you have more money than sense. Anyone willing to pay should maximize their investment and take them to the biggest events in the country. Not local Sat night shows and the occasional mediocre event locally.

I am sorry maybe I shouldn't have said local. Cause to me the local tracks is like liberty, paradise,Coleridge, Danny's,neese just to name a few and there all within 2 hours of me and I consider that local kinda lol an all those tracks pay a good bit of money. And for me right now it is for me to win an come out strong but it is mainly to build a great team relationship so we can be even strong next year for the beginning of the points series for the big name events.

And no I wouldn't pay 1800 for a weekend I ain't that crazy but sometime it's better if i can, have someone help me an do it right for me rather than i mess up by doing it myself and costing me more money than it would have cost me to hire someone to do it the right way. Yes I have kept in touch with racing it's just so hard on me cause none of my help wants to learn the prep game and it's a pain for me to do it and drive

Well now you're coming to your senses. I promise you this much. You can't come out paying a GOOD tire guy. You can win races, but you'll lose money.

You're overthinking the prep game if it intereferes with your driving. As you noticed from the list of great tire guys: Jamie, Donnie, Jerry, they're all top drivers. I think it's actually a little easier being the driver. From the seat you know exactly what you need. The tire guy is either going to guess or do his beat to interpret.

The heavy lifting of the prep game is done before you ever leave the shop. If you don't have it figured out before you leave the house, your chances of figuring it out at the racetrack are slim and none with slim hanging out with the fat lady. Under normal circumstances the only thing you'll have to do at the track is top coat, the tires are done.

Your best bet would be to talk to a tire guy who has customers at the tracks you plan on racing at, and buy your tires from him, already prepped and ready to go...if you can afford to go that route or cant get your crew to get behind the prep game. If it were me, i would be telling my crew to either step it up and learn what needs to be done or to hit the road and find someone who will take the time to learn it so they are helping you instead of holding you back!

I believe in learning something myself instead paying someone to do it for me, and with that said, i would reccomend Matt at Palmetto without hesitation and i will tell you why. I started out this year on Palmetto's Perfection Tire Solutions, had never heard of anyone running it around here where i race and had zero experience with it myself at all....i had just gotten a great deal on a whole box full of their prep from my parts guy, and decided to switch things up a bit and give it a try. I talked to Matt at Palmetto and he took the time to give me the complete run down on his prep, when to use which prep, how to do it, how much to roll, everything i needed to know about his prep with Burris tires. So far this year, i have won alot of features and more top 3 finishes than i can even count, all thanks to Matt taking the time to take me thru his prep. At my home track, i was on a roll for 5 weeks strait, winning every feature i ran there until i screwed up and lost one lol. In my opinion, you cannot find support like i got from Palmetto, and for that reason, their prep is what i stick with and will continue to stick with from now on, that alone speaks volumes about a tire specialist and what they are willing to do to help their customers.

Danny has always best of best equipment. Money means different things to different people but that isn't what I came on here for. Danny I still work and support Jamie so if you decide to come back to Pink Magic I would be happy to help you. Jamie would also. He has moved his shop to Lancaster and I have also. Let me know if we can help
