When will the decision be made if this is going to be a Saturday or Sunday race?

I would say it will depend on how hard and how much it rains Friday night and Saturday. The track can handle quite a bit of water--- so can alot of the pits. The place dries out fairly quick but if it comes a flooding rain like we have had 3 or 4 times this month..... probably won't happen until rain date in August.
I hope they get it in this weekend I really don't wanna see this race be back to back Sunday looks sun a cool but sunny I think it would have to down pour all do at for it to be a washout Sunday too I know it's gonna hurt kart count for being a Sunday it hot laps starting at 12 see racing done.by 7

We are going to make a call by lunch tomorrow. Luckily Our track and facilities can withstand quite a bit if rain. We will do everything we possibly can to get it in for you guys!!

I was looking back at old post on this event and havnt seen where they have said rain date will be in august,, I say if it gets rained out run it within the 1st 2 weeks of may,, the schedule has us off for a month between the first and second race anyways

ATTENTION ALL KARTERS!!!! Id like to take this opportunity to officially announce the Southern Kentucky Burris Series (soky) for the 2015 racing season. This vision has transpired into a reality with the help of many people whom ill list later in this post. The series finances will be posted in this group and you can see where every dollar you contribute goes. It will be an open book for everyone!!!!!
This series is totally funded by sponsors and karters and will be as successful as you guys make it. Thats why finances will be viewable so all karts can see where their money is going and being used and distributed in payout

5 races series at 4 tracks, drivers will accumulate points toward the championship and we are guaranteeing a leather jacket and a brand new set of burris tires to the winner in all eight classes we have chose and the points fund money left after jackets purchase ($410-$450 per jacket)will be spread throughout the other top finishers. How far back will be determined by your classes entrys and contributions into the points fund and this is just the tip of the ice berg.

With this being series opener Recording artist Rachael Johnson out of nashville will be putting on a FREE CONCERT FROM 2-3:30-4. She has opened for many big names such as jodi mesina, craig morgan, little texas and many more. Rachaeljohnson.com
5-16-15 HILLBILLY RACEWAY Kweyant CustomPaint will be giving out 8 $50 gift certificate to be used toward custom paint helmet
6-13-15 BOURBON CITY RACEWAY Stutting Race Engines has sponsored 5 gift certificates for FREE labor on rebuild/conversion and 3 $50 gift certificates toward new motor
7-11-15 BRIARPATCH RACEWAY (double points night)
8-1-15 THREE FORKS RACEWAY
If rained out on saturday we will race the very next day on sunday and it will be a day race. In the event it gets rained out well our rain dated will be 8/15 and 8/29. on those saturdays if the are rained out again we will run the next day on sunday (day race)
The tracks have all agreed to these dates and ARE NOT RACING ON OUR SERIES REGULAR SCHEDULED NIGHTS!!!

Jr drivers must provide copy of birth certificate and must run ONE CLASS ONLY
All adult drivers can run as many classes as theyd like but will only eligible for points in ONE CLASS... If 2 medium points racers finish 1st and second in heavy class the 3rd place finisher will get 3rd place money and 1st place points...this will let us crown 8 different champions and give 8 leather jackets to 8 different people

Features 20 laps 14 kart max
NO PROVISIONALS
If 15 karts enter there will be a consi NO EXCEPTIONS

Each class will have a "class" sponsor. These sponsors are contributing a minimum of $250 directly into that classes points fund before the series even begins.
If anyone is interested in sponsoring the series please contact me. There are many avenues to take towards sponsorship with the series. Anything from $50 gift certificates to sponsoring a full night, to motors, clutches, bodies and so on.

This series will have a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY) when it comes to fighting. Any fighting and you are ban from the series for the year. ANY UNRULY conduct toward officials will also result in being ban from series.
No racing back to caution
Any driver involved goes to tail unless blatantly taken out
2 attempts at double file start. Front row goes to TAIL if they cant get it in two trys
Cause 2 driver gets black flagged
2 attempts at green white checkered. If to not done in two attempts race will be over and driver(s) that caused caution will finish in the last finishing position.
This would not be possible without the help of kurt burris three forks raceway, hillbilly raceway, briarpatch raceway, and bourbon city raceway.

We have a window tomorrow to get it in with there only being a 30% chance of throughout the day. The track should be fine with the rain coming in tonight!!!
In the event we do get rained out tomorrow sunday looks VERY PROMISING!!!! Trailers can be left at the track saturday night in the event of a rain out,
If qualifying is complete in all classes and we rain out payout will be given according to qualifying time.
No refunds or rain checks. Any bracelet must be used for race #1 at three forks.
Gates open at 10

Registration close and drivers meeting 2
1 1/2 hr of open practice
