Just use a long stroker rod . Make piston changing much easier . Remove head , roll till wrist pin is exposed . ;)
 
That may be correct, but, you're saying the piston is somewhere near .40 in the hole stock? Do you have a way to measure your piston pop up/in the hole, whichever it may be? With stock predator piston, .005 shorter rod, adding .40 to upstroke, you are adding .395 to whatever your in the hole or pop up already is. Really doesn't matter how tall the deck is. I like your out of the box thinking, but you're over thinking something, you're not using a different piston, just rod and crank. Your current in the hole measurement is the only variable
