valve guides

like I stated before my guy charges 300 for new guides, valves, springs, plug gaskets. inspecting the lower end. taking it all apart putting it back together adding oil fuel putting it on the dyno and testing it.
yes he reams it with specialty tools, cuts multi angle valve job on a Serdi type machine. hand laps the valves etc. and what im told is
its cheap because the clone parts are cheap.
if my guy told me 100 to replace two guides and there was no valve job with that. id find a new guy.
like I said before my guy is one of the best engine builders in the country. he's not doing hack work with a Tapp and a hammer.

That is a good deal and I bet he stays busy. You should tip him well for his provided service to you.

its a 6-10 week wait on a motor or rebuild/refresh. He lives in a big ol house with lots of trophies. never turns the cc machine around to show me %15. %20. %25. so I guess we're good

That sort of sounds like my shop
