Yamaha KT100s Carbu settings

Hey Alvin,
Some veteran in karting here in Norway told me so. What do you mean I should add? :)
Less or more?

Pota, that will be fine when using a full synthetic, most on here prefer a little less than 6% but that's with a castor base oil and with methanol for the fuel. I've run 3% in a KT100 on gas with a synthetic and petroleum blend with good results. Jon

Using percentages for mixture ratios is new to me. I always used ounces per gallon. Not saying one is better, or worse, than the other, just different. With the KT, I used one quart of castor to five gallons of gas. While most used eight ounces per gallon, I never had a problems with 6.4 ounces per gallon.

More oil (up to the point of fouling plugs) may result in more power.

Cycle World magazine did a test 30 years ago with a 2-stroke Grand Prix bike. The more oil, the faster it went.

Oil gives ring and piston seal, reduces friction and carries heat away from the piston.
