If you want a interesting Note to add to that I have a 2001 YZ 250 here. the top end including the base gasket will drop right on a 92-01 CR 250 same exact transfer design bolt pattern bore and stroke.

Bore and stroke on the 2001 onwards was pretty much the same for all manufacturers.
Thats real interesting Tim. Wonder what other years of YZ fit the same base gasket. Maybe they contracted the cylinders out to another company or did a trade of like car manufacturers sometimes do. Cant say that about the KTM.
