As with the first two events, the 3rd Annual Jason Kimball Memorial 79 will be held at Cross Roads Motorplex with the Florida Karting Series.
Each year, the Champions share has gone up 1k. The Inaugural was a $7,149 purse, the 2nd $11,728. Now the 3rd is $15,928 plus Awards.

Tires:
Vega MDH Blue. All 4 tires must be Blue for Qualifying, B Mains, and Main Event. Tires used for Qualifying and the B Mains must be from your scanned/checked in tires.*2024 FKS rules state you can check in up to 8 right side tires, left sides are not checked in.*Tires for the 79 lap Main Event must be MDH Blue, however they do not have to be scanned. This is due to the length of the race.(This is the same as the previous JK79's in 2022 and 2023.)
Race Format:
79 laps.
Pro Stock Heavy, 375lbs.
30 kart field.
Take Top 20 from qualifying.
No 2nd round qualifying.
No Provisionals.
B Mains to fill 30 kart field.
At lap 30 and lap 60, field will be given a single checkered flag. Karts will run one cool down lap, then stop on front stretch. Stay in order you crossed line.(Same as 2022 and 2023)
ALL drivers to infield for 5 minute break, once stopped on front stretch at lap 30 and 60. Drivers may not "Go to fence" they must stay on the clay and report to infield. (Same as 2022 and 2023) Sport drinks and water will be provided, both in cooler and room temperature in the infield. Officials will also ensure lineup at this time.
ABSOLUTELY NO WORKING ON KARTS at lap 30 and 60 breaks. No air pressure, No Fuel, Nothing.(Same as 2022 and 2023)
Exception to work is, tire clearance from body work, chain reatachment, etc. Basically, work you would do from a normal on track incident. Only driver can do this, NO crew, NO tools, and only after conferring with official AND under their supervision.(Same as 2022 and 2023)
Officials will announce when one (1) crew member may enter track to crank after breaks. It is strongly recommended to have spare pull rope and necessary tools to replace pull rope in timely manner, if rope breaks while restarting from breaks. Must notify officials and complete under their supervision.(Same as 2022 and 2023, after input from drivers during drivers meeting)
Caution laps count until lap 60.(Same as 2022 and 2023)
Lap 30 and lap 60 restarts will be like original start of race.(One attempt at green, if Caution is displayed, will line back up with scoring from completion of lap 30 or 60 respectively. If another wreck on restart, we will remain green if possible, if not, all involved in the caution will go to rear. Caution laps do not count until lap 1 has been completed and lap 31 has been completed. (Same as 2022 and 2023.))
