I was overwhelmed at the response we had for people wishing to announce for Jason's race. After much consideration we have decided on 2 excellent announcers, Mike Hunter and Ray Bragg! I feel extremely confident that these two will not only bring professionalism to the booth but will take driver introductions to a whole new level (Please see picture of Ray announcing below). As well, they will be doing pit walks and talks throughout the day during practice, commentary and insight during all on track activity (To include qualifying and the beloved/dreaded B-Main), and pre-race, in-race, and post-race interviews. Mike managed Volusia Karting from its inception in the mid 90's until a few years ago, wherein Jason won many races himself at the local level, state level, and Money races. Furthermore, Jason's Prowler Chassis won an incredible amount of races there. Mike can literally do anything there is around a kart track or car track, too include wheeling stock cars "Back in his day." Ray has announced his Best Friends Memorial Races in the past for "Superman" Dave Steele, a.k.a. the G.O.A.T. As well Ray still currently races sprint cars in Florida, and raced sprints against Jason. Ray and Mike both knew Jason since at least the mid 90's, and both have been around karting in one way shape or form for many years. Thank you again to all who wished to be apart of this event as an announcer, contacting each of you and letting you know you were not selected has been the absolute worst part of this event for me thus far. We'll see you May 3rd and 4th for the 3rd Annual Jason Kimball Memorial 79! Ps. If you know Ray Bragg, you already know he's bringing the camper and will be alive and ready for the pit party on Friday night from 7pm-10pm!

As with the 2nd Annual Jason Kimball Memorial 79 for those that fail to transfer through to the A Main, via the B-Main will still leave with a FREE rental league night pass! The cost of this is actually worth more than the $79 entry into the JK79! Please visit BushnellMotorsportsPark.com for their schedule and what they have going on. They have multiple leagues throughout the year some during Thursday Nights, and some on Saturday Mornings. Afterall, if you didn't make the JK79, chances are you need some more practice. What better way to get practice than by using someone else's equipment. You don't even have to clean it up or upkeep it!

Each year of the JK79, the Starting Field has signed 3 flags prior to the start of the race. One flag goes to the Champion. One flag goes to Jason's Wife Cynthia. And the other flag goes to Jason's parents Ed and Linda. As well, each of the flags is used during the race, one at lap 30, another at lap 60, and two at lap 79!

The Pole Award flag is given to the Pole Award Winner after each driver that attempted qualifying signs the flag.

This flag is given to the winner of the 3rd Annual Jason Kimball Memorial 79 LAP LEADER EXTRAVAGANZA! Currently, the leaders are racing for an additional $1,450 in Lap leader money at $50 a lap to lead! The Lap sponsors are paired with the a driver from the 30 kart starting field. If all the laps are sponsored and your driver wins you'll win $2,500. If they finish second, $1,000. Third $450. We are currently at $1,750 in Lap Leader money! There are 35 laps sponsored so far of the 79 total laps. 100% of the lap money put in will go to the racers and back to the lap money sponsors! The left side of the board is the starting lineup for the 3rd Annual Jason Kimball Memorial 79 Presented by BA Odom Construction LLC. The right side is the lap sponsor that will be paired up with them. It's total luck in terms of who you get placed with, but can become crazy if you're placed with a driver that you may not particularly care for. However, if that drive can win you $2,500, a trophy check, the Lap sponsor banner, and the Checkered Flag,I have a feeling you just may come to like them.
