All street legal US cars should be limited to 200hp

We should all drive these so Paul could be happy....lol

I did find the humor in it Paul, I agree it's not a Ford! But, I don't think he took offense nor anyone else. It was all fun and games.

Oh, since you old people need smiley faces to let you know it's not serious and you can laugh.
;)

Yeah exactly I wasn't offended lol. I just like to drive my truck fast and uphold my title of fastest street truck in Mena. And yes, I'm young, and yes, it's dangerous, but you have to be young sometime, right?

I think people should pay more attention to driving instead of their damn cell phones!

Ever see those idiots out there who does 45 in a 55, but then they do 45 in a 35?

Also how about people who zoom by you, when they run up on someone in their lane, and can pass, they slow down, stay behind the slow car and do not pass?

What I would like on a vehicle is a wreck truck style bumper.

To limit a vehicle on HP is like socialism. If I want a 1,000 HP car, then so be it. To limit me is taking away a freedom. Careful in what you ask for.

Limiting vehicles to 200 hp would drastically decrease fuel mileage, mostly on larger vehicles. A 200 hp Tahoe? C'mon. Power to weight ratio would be horrid. Don't even attempt to haul anything with 200 hp, either.

Limiting free-market choices is never a good idea.
As soon as it's only 200hp, some jerk will say 180hp is enough and pretty soon everyone will be walking (as long as it isn't too fast.)
Pkish would nut-up at the HotRod PowerTour w/all the 1200hp street cars.

The ones I hate to follow do 45 in a 55, then when the passing lane opens up, they do 65 in a 55.

Good point. I posted thinking "Who the heck would need a new car with more then 200hp, except to do stupid with it?". Sure you can do stupid with less hp, but ain't 200hp enough potential stupid to buy? What's enough hp to get you out of a bad on the road situation if 200hp ain't nuff ?

I was only thinking there is no reason to produce and sell a new car with more then 200hp, except to enhance stupid and ego, both of which I don't want to drive down the road next to, I got more then enough stupid and ego of my own, to cope with. ... :)

As far as older cars and customs I see no reason to limit them and they would be grandfathered in. Here's a thought, wouldn't a 200hp limit on new stuff, jack up the value of customs, hot rods and older stuff? It would be a win win for the HotRod Power Tour, what ever that is. Never heard of it but I'll google and see what it's about.

edit found it:

My neighbor across the street did it with a car he and his son worked on together to put it in the tour. Great thing and it's got to be fun for all.
