So I was wondering if 10.8 lbs valve springs put out less power than 18 or 26 lbs valve springs?
...or LO206. I mean, if you're going to cheat one up, at least have some clue about what you are doing!Even more amusing is when I see guys putting stiff springs in a box stock predator.
There was a time when the 18 pound springs were too long to fit on a hemi head without binding and guys used the shorter #22 instead.I placed 3rd in a predator race one time and the 2 people in front of me has 22 pound valve springs and got DQ’ed. even if they did have a cheater cam in the motor they don’t need that much spring pressure. I always laugh as you don’t need that much pressure.
I believe that is still a problem. Or they would cut valve slots or whatever you call them where valve sits. I forgot the nameThere was a time when the 18 pound springs were too long to fit on a hemi head without binding and guys used the shorter #22 instead.
